The City College of San Francisco women's basketball team defeated the Ohlone College Renegades (0-7 Coast-North/0-18 Overall) 89-29 on Wednesday at Ohlone.
The increased the Rams win streak to seven games and improved their record to 6-0 in the Coast-North Conference (19-3 Overall).
CCSF dominated the Renegades throughout the entire game. The Rams outscored the renegades in every quarter. Their most dominant quarter came in the second when CCSF outscored Ohlone 27-4. The Rams closed the first half with a lead of 41-11.
But it was the Rams' defense that completely overwhelmed the Renegades. CCSF caused 35 Ohlone turnovers. Guard Caprice Taylor led the Rams with eight steals followed by guard Anissah Dorsey's six steals.
The Rams received strong offensive contributions from the entire lineup. Thirty nine of the Rams' 89 points came from the bench, led by forward Apollinia Illalio's 12 points. Taylor led the game with 18 points and fellow starters Dorsey and forward Jordana Edwards scored 10 points apiece.
The Rams host Chabot College Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.
