The City College of San Francisco women's basketball team (4-0 Coast-North/17-3 Overall) defeated host Las Positas College Hawks 97-59 on Wednesday night.

The win pushes the Rams win streak to an impressive five games and currently hold first place in the Coast-North Conference.

Sophomore guard Caprice Taylor set the tone of the game in the first quarter for the Rams. She made five straight three-point shots against the Hawks. Her 18 points in the first helped the Rams close the quarter with a comfortable 30-9 lead.  Taylor finished the game with 36 points, seven assists, and six rebounds.

The Rams continued to pile up the points against the Hawks. They closed the first half with a 57-25 lead, and outscored the Hawks 40-34 in the second half. Their 97-point outburst is their highest point total for the year.

Other standout performers include freshman forward Zakiya Willis (17 points and 13 rebounds) and sophomore guard Gianni Duncan-Mosley, who scored 14 points off the bench for the Rams.
