After suffering their first loss of the season, a 1-0 shutout at West Valley College on November 1st, the City College of San Francico men's soccer (6-1-9, 5-1-4) returned the favor on Tuesday, shutting out Hartnell College at home 1-0.

With just 2 more games on their regular season schedule, Tuesday's win keeps the Rams within striking distance of 1st place Foothill in the Coast Conference North.

Gabriel Arias scored the lone goal of the CCSF victory, continuing his red-hot scoring attack and impressive sophomore campaign. It was the team-leading 11th goal for Arias this season, 9 of which have come in Coast Conference play alone.

"Despite Friday's loss, we are still in contention for a Coast Conference championship, and a high seed in the playoffs," Rams head coach Adam Lucarelli said.

CCSF, currently undefeated at home, will host their final home match this Friday against Las Positas (6-12-1) before closing their regular season finale at Canada College on Tuesday. City College can force a tie atop the Coast Conference North by winning both matches and a Foothill loss.

Whether or not the Rams capture a conference title in 2019, they are sure to be a tough matchup for any opponent come CCCAA playoff time.
