The City College of San Francisco Men's Soccer Team advanced to the CCCAA Nor-Cal Finals after defeating West Valley College in a penalty shoot-out last Saturday at West Valley.

After two hard-fought halves followed by two overtime periods, CCSF and West Valley headed into the PK round tied 2-2. Jared McDonald, Fabian Wence, Jesus Martinez, Eruvey Arceta, and Alex Perez were selected to take the penalty kicks — and all five made their PK shots. West Valley scored on four of five PK shots. Their second attempt was blocked by goalie Javier Hernandez.

In the Rams win, sophomore forward Perez led the way for CCSF. He scored both of the Rams goals (61st min, 98th min OT) and hit the game-winning PK kick to push the Rams over the top.

The Rams will now travel to Butte College for the NorCal Final.
