The City College of San Francisco men's soccer team travelled to Foothill College last Friday and walked away with a 3-1 win against their division foes.

The win extends the Rams' win streak to four games and remain tied for first place with Las Positas College in the Coast-North Conference.

The Rams (7-0-2, 3-0-1 conference) jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the game against Foothill (2-5-2, 1-1-1). At the 13th minute, sophomore midfielder Romario Gamez found sophomore defender David Salas for a score. Then the Rams scored at the 25th minute when freshman forward Alejandro Sorto scored off an assist by sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Bailey.

The game appeared to be a potential blowout win for the Rams after the second goal, but Foothill's defense locked down on the Rams and kept the score at 2-0 all the way through most of the second half.

Foothill's Nathaniel Gutierrez cut the lead in half when he scored at the 70th minute and brought his team within striking distance of tying the game. But the Rams responded with a goal of their own when freshman forward Alejandro Perez scored off an assist by Gamez at the 79th minute.

The Rams are averaging 3.25 goals per game and have outscored opponents 13-3 during this current four-game win streak.
