While making CCCAA playoffs has now become all but an annual tradition for the CCSF men's basketball team, the motivation to make it back to the state championship game may be at an all-time high.

After capping off an undefeated regular season, the Rams are set to host San Joaquin Delta (18-10) on Saturday night at the Wellness Center in the second round of the Northern California region. Whle the Rams' win streak currently sits at 28 straight, the Mustangs are also playing their best basketball of the season, winning their last 7 contests, including the opening round of the playoffs against Los Medanos on Wednesday.

San Joaquin Delta are led by sophomore guard Travis August, who averages 19 points per game and shoots an impressive 36% from beyond the arc. Freshman forward Dillon Autrey is second on the team with 15 points per game. As a team, the Mustangs average 75 points per game.

Should the Rams take care of business at The Wellness Center, they would have a week off before preparing to host a third round matchup at home on March 7. The winner of that game would advance to the state championship tournament, which is hosted this year by West Hills College in Lemoore.

As the #1 team in California virtually all season long, City should have the biggest and brightest target on their backs, no matter who their opponent is.
