CCSF fought hard at the State Championship

With a fight to the finish, CCSF fell just short of a back to back State Title.  Fullerton jumped to a 7-0 run in the first 3 minutes until CCSF’s Malcom Johnson hit a 3 pointer to get the Rams on the board.

The Rams, down as much as 11 points rallied their way back within 4 but could not overcome inconsistent free throw shooting, hitting 19 of their 31 free throws compared to the Hornet’s 36 of 46.

CCSF’s freshman guard, Dale Currie made five threes with a game high 21 points. He also added 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Deschon Winston and Johnson added 13 a piece, while Austin McCullough finished the game with 11 points.

Austin McCullough and Malcom Johnson were named to the All-Tournament team.

CCSF finishes the season with a 31-2 overall record.  It was their 9th appearance to the State Championship Game.
