The City College of San Francisco men's basketball team advanced to the California Community College Athletic Association Elite 8 after defeating the Cabrillo College Seahawks 77-60 on Friday at CCSF.

The game started off with the Rams and Seahawks exchanging baskets. Both teams were tied 13-13 with nearly 13 minutes left in the first half.

Then the Rams, the no.1 team in the state, kicked it into gear.  They went on a 28-5 run, pushing their lead to 41-18 with nearly four minutes left in the half. Guard Terrell Brown scored 11 of his team-leading 19 points in the first half. The Rams hit seven three pointers in the first half, with three of them coming from the sharp-shooting Brown. The Rams closed the first half with a 46-24 lead.

The second half was a carbon copy of the first half. The Rams continued to launch from beyond the arc, hitting six three pointers in the second half. Their lead hit 31 points (69-38) with nearly 10 minutes left. To put it in perspective, the Rams made 39 points off three pointers at this point and Cabrillo only scored 38 points total for the game.

Cabrillo made a valiant effort to decrease the deficit. They came within 14 points of the Rams with 2:30 left on the clock, but the Rams lead proved insurmountable. CCSF closed out the game with a final score of 77-60 and advanced another Elite 8 appearance.

The Rams leading point scorers were Brown (19) and forwards Michael Wright (12) and Michael Steadman (11).
