The City College of San Francisco Football Team held off Siskiyous in the second half to win 19-16 last Saturday at Siskiyous.

The Rams came out the gate quickly with a 12-0 lead after the first quarter. Running back DeShawn Collins scampered for a 43-yard touchdown run to push their lead to 6-0 early in the first quarter. The Rams followed that up when quarterback Jack Newman found Tyrese Mack for a 73-yard touchdown pass with 5:14 remaining in the quarter.

CCSF tacked on seven more points to their lead when Newman found Kenden Robinson Jr. for a 90-yard-touchdown strike. The Rams Closed the first half with 19-0 lead.

The Rams were held scoreless in the second half after their impressive first-half performance. Siskiyous looked to capitalize on the Rams scoreless half, but fell short in their attempt.

Newman finished the game with 352 yards passing on 13-of-24 attempts and two touchdowns. Collins racked up 163 rushing yards on 31 attempts with one rushing touchdown. Mack caught six passes for 154 yards and one rushing touchdown.

The Rams’ defense was led by defensive back Daniel Gunnarsson, who led the Rams with 13 tackles, nine of which were solo tackles.
