Rams drop conference game at San Mateo

SAN MATEO – A very rough stretch of the 2022 season continued for City College of San Francisco. On Tuesday, the Rams totaled 7 hits but were held scoreless in a 9-0 Coast Conference North Division loss at College of San Mateo on Tuesday.

The two squads wrap up a two-game set on Thursday at CSM with first pitch at 2:30 p.m.

First baseman Jackson Wood (2 for 4) had a pair of hits to lead CCSF at the plate.

Rams' starting pitcher Isaiah Ramos ran into trouble early, as he allowed a run in the top of the first inning (CCSF was the designated home team) and two more in the second. But he settled down to record scoreless innings over the third, fourth, and fifth.

Ramos gave up a final run in the sixth before exiting. He allowed 4 runs (3 earned) and 7 hits over 6 innings.

CCSF's fifth straight loss dropped their record to 4-25 overall and 0-13 in conference play.
